Meet Aiysia
(Pronounced Asia)

My journey in the beauty industry began in 2013 at a salon front desk, a full year before graduating from Paul Mitchell The School Cleveland in 2014.

As a new stylist, I craved deep mentorship but quickly found myself lost in the noise of a chaotic, fast-paced commission salon environment. Frustrated by the lack of structured, hands-on training, I temporarily stepped away from hair to build a highly successful, 2.5-year career as a nail technician at a premier local spa.

But hair was always my true calling. In 2018, determined to never let a busy salon atmosphere stunt my growth again, I took matters into my own hands. I opened my very first salon suite with zero hair clients and just five loyal nail clients that I trusted.   

Through relentless dedication and continuing education, I specialized in blonding and balayage, rapidly building a booming business from scratch. By 2020, right as pandemic restrictions lifted, I scaled my business up into a private, one-chair salon storefront in the heart of Lakewood, Ohio. It was during this time that I discovered my ultimate passion and purpose: curly hair.

After a brief move out of state, I returned to Cleveland, spent two years rebuilding my curly hair clientele under someone else's roof, and officially stepped back out on my own in 2024 as a dedicated Curly Hair Specialist.

My commitment to texture is born from deep, personal lived experience. As a client with curly hair, I spent my entire life dreading the salon - struggling to find a stylist who made me feel safe, understood, or confident.

As a stylist, I faced that exact same issue in beauty school, where texture was completely overlooked and reduced to the standard instruction: "straighten it to cut it."

For both the client and the stylist, the curly hair experience has historically been a cycle of silent suffering, anxiety, and costly guesswork. I am here to completely bridge that gap.

I believe the curly community deserves to feel celebrated, not like a burden. Clients deserve to leave an appointment feeling happy, backed by a stylist who knows exactly what they are doing.

To fully heal this repetitive cycle, I expanded my mission into two major pillars:
  • Conscious Curl Co. Luxury Hair Care: Launched to solve the frustration of heavy, sticky, and crunchy product buildup. As both a curly client and a master stylist, I formulated this luxury line to deliver real health benefits from the inside out—effectively cleansing texture without stripping essential oils, reducing breakage, and maximizing hydration.
  • Private 1:1 Stylist Mentorship: Because I know firsthand how terrifying it is to sit in a chaotic salon or an overwhelming group class feeling like you can't ask questions, I created a safe, intimate learning environment. My private 1:1 look-and-learn and hands-on sessions give stylists the focused, undivided attention they need to master curl patterns, eliminate fear, and confidently serve a community that is actively searching for them.

These two offerings can completely change the hair industry as we know it. My mission is to ensure everyone can feel included, seen, and understood.
